Visit the Polk Museum of Art with one of our volunteer docent tour guides. A minimum of ten people is required for a docent-led tour. Docent-led tours must be requested at least two weeks in advance. For student groups grades K-12, one chaperone is required per ten students. Docent-led tours have a $30 docent fee per docent. (Groups of 25 or more may require two or more docents) The docent fee will be waived if no docent is required. (Special exhibition fees may apply.)
Agencies requesting that the tour fee be waived for their group must send a formal letter to the Museum (on agency letterhead) a minimum of two weeks prior to their scheduled tour. The letter must state the reason(s) for the fee waiver.

Through an agreement with Polk County Public Schools, every fifth-grade student will visit the Museum at some time during the school year. This means approximately 6,500 students walk through the Museum for a facilitated learning experience each year. Fifth-grade tours are scheduled Mondays through Fridays at 10am, and are 90 minutes in length. The Museum requires one chaperone per ten students.
