You are invited to enroll in our

Art History
Lecture Series

With your professor

Dr. H. Alexander Rich
Executive Director & Chief Curator

Think you know the origins of Pop Art? Think it's all Warhol, soup cans, and Americana? Well, just wait until you get the full story. This September, join us for a can't-miss, interactive course where you will explore the surprising catalysts in art history — including Abstract Expressionism — that led to the emergence of Pop Art as one of the most important,  familiar, and celebrated art movements of all time. As Dr. Rich dives into the work of game-changing artists like Jackson Pollock, Mark Rothko, Helen Frankenthaler, Robert Rauschenberg, Jasper Johns, Roy Lichtenstein, and Andy Warhol, to name just a few, you’ll reconsider everything you’ve ever thought you knew about Pop Art, not to mention art history as a whole.

This series can be attended in-person at the Museum or virtually!
