Located in the heart of central Florida, Lakeland's Polk Museum of Art is an easy 45-minute drive on Interstate 4 from both Orlando and Tampa. Since we are half-way between the two cities, Lakeland is an ideal place to stay while visiting beaches, Busch Gardens, Disney, Universal Studios, Legoland and more.

Lakeland is also the home to the world's largest collection of Frank Lloyd Wright architecture at Florida Southern College, hosting twelve of his buildings. During the winter months, Lakeland is home to the Detroit Tigers Spring Training Camp. For one week each spring, Lakeland hosts the world's second largest air show, the Sun 'n Fun Int'l Fly-in & Expo. Every Mother's Day weekend the Polk Museum of Art presents Citizens Bank and Trust Mayfaire by-the-Lake, a nationally-ranked outdoor art show. Other attractions include Hollis Garden & the Frances Langford Promenade, Lemon Street Sculpture Exhibition, Explorations V Children's Museum, the Polk Theatre, the Imperial Symphony Orchestra, the RP Funding Center, Circle B Bar Reserve, and many other exciting activities and destinations.
