This program will help guide artistically-minded students through portfolio standards, expectations, and projects for application-based fine arts high schools, colleges, and universities.

This program will help guide artistically-minded students through portfolio standards, expectations, and projects for application-based fine arts high schools, colleges, and universities. Students will receive portfolio instruction, assignments designed to help them improve their personal portfolios, and advice on art materials. This course centers on refining the skills required to create an application-ready portfolio of work.

This program does not guarantee acceptance into any high school, college, or university. Course is limited in the number of students accepted.

Instructor: Kyndil Gonzalez, B.A., Graphic Design, Florida Southern College; Art Teacher at Davenport School of the Arts

6-Week Course:
Thursdays | 6 to 8pm | Skill Level: Beginning to Intermediate | Ages 13-18
Dates: September 26 - October 31, 2024
Fee: $145 Members, $195 Non-Members

Review

Due to limited space, students will be asked to submit 3-5 pieces to be reviewed before joining the course. These pieces should reflect what the student feels best represents their skill level and artistic focus. Remember, this review is not for a grade, but for feedback in order to help further their journey. This program has been developed for students who exhibit a skill, passion, and desire for the visual arts.
