Art Across Disciplines: If Paintings Had Soundtracks

What exactly do music and art have in common? How do they influence one another? Can the lightness of color relate to the height of pitch? If a painting had a soundtrack, what would it be?

For this event inspired by works currently on view at the Museum, please join Dr. Alex Rich, Executive Director and Chief Curator for a special evening of music and discussion featuring piano and marimba performances by recent Florida Southern College graduate Gianna Santucci. They will be joined by John Wallace, Principal Percussionist with the Imperial Symphony Orchestra in Lakeland as they chat LIVE with YOU and delve into the harmonious relationship between music and painting!

Have your questions handy for this interactive program, and join us LIVE on Zoom or Facebook Live Thursday, August 27th at 6pm!
