Each month (September - April), participants will be introduced to one of the Museum’s exhibitions in a fun and interactive way. ArtLabs are led by professional artists and art educators who will engage participants of all ages and skills in their own unique experience relating to an exhibition on display in the Museum.

ART + PLANTS: ART INSPIRATION ROOTED IN NATURE

Pre-registration is required.
Join University of Florida/IFAS Horticulture Extension experts to learn how the art of combining plants in the landscape is rooted in the art world. This workshop will focus on the landscape design techniques of color, texture, and form and participants will utilize landscape design techniques, art observation, and other skills to create container gardens. All materials will be provided.

County Program Focus:
The residential horticulture program focuses on providing research-based education to Polk County residents on topics of Florida-Friendly Landscaping (FFL) and best management practices for the home lawn and landscape. Programming is offered through monthly newsletters, workshops, webinars, and social media sites. In addition, Master Gardener Volunteers, a Florida-Friendly Landscaping Program Coordinator, and Water Conservation Program Specialist assist with the program goals.
