Access Art: Alzheimer's Disease & Dementia

Facilitator: Tinia Clark

Participants will create and discuss art with specially trained educator, Tinia Clark. Clark is the Executive Director of Sidestreet Art Beat, Inc., an organization whose mission is to provide awareness for the healing power of the arts through engagement.

This free program aims of who will provide an accepting and engaging environment in which the disease is a non-issue. This program is designed for people in the early stages of dementia and their care partners and is open to the public. If you are concerned about your privacy, please speak to the facilitator of the meeting. Space is limited to 12 participants and their caregivers each month.

Access Art is based on the MOMA Alzheimer’s Project and is a collaboration between Polk Museum of Art, Alzheimer’s Association – Florida Gulf Coast Chapter and the Sidestreet Art Beat, Inc.
