Each month (September to May), participants will be introduced to one of the Museum’s exhibitions in a fun and accessible, hands-on learning experience for all ages. Labs are led by professional artists or art educators who guide participants in creating their own artwork. Using a array of mediums and techniques, the project will relate to an exhibition on display in the Museum.
Celebration Through Mixed Media
Instructor: Rick Runion, BFA in the Fine Arts, Ohio University
Join Rick Runion for a hands-on reflection time inspired by “Ela’s Forest”. Participants will use a variety of mediums and techniques to create artwork celebrating a person, place or event from their own life experiences. The piece will have a focused concept and express the participants connection to the subject.
Note: Participants are asked to bring a printed image (or any materials) of a person, place or event they would like to focus their work on.
Registration deadline February 7th.
