Point of View Gallery Talk

Join us for Point of View Gallery talks every second Friday of the month at noon.

Dr. H. Alexander Rich is the Curator and Director of Galleries and Exhibitions, an Assistant Professor of Art History and the Director of the Art History program at Florida Southern College. Dr. Rich is a specialist in Modern and Contemporary Art History, with a particular focus on European and American art of the 19th and 20th centuries. He earned his Ph.D. in Art History from the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University, and his A.B. from Dartmouth College.

This month, Dr. Rich will lead visitors through the show and discuss the history and legacy of Rembrandt's Academy. By looking closely with visitors at the 16 works in the exhibition, he will explore why these works are so important, the ways in which "Rembrandtian" style has impacted more recent art, and how this exciting exhibition itself came together.

Space is limited. RSVP by emailing Reservations@PolkMuseumofArt.org.
