About the artist:

For nine decades, Chryssie Tavrides (b. 1928) has made art — and others' enjoyment of her art — her lifelong passion and career as a working artist. A native of Chicago, Tavrides studied at the Art Institute of Chicago, first as a ten-year-old when she attended art classes for grade schoolers and then again, more officially, as a degree-earning undergraduate fine arts student.  Now a resident of Florida for the past 30 years and at age 94, Tavrides still works out of her studio and home here in Central Florida.
