Free to Be Me
Artwork by Polk County Students Grades 3 through 5
The public is invited to celebrate and recognize the talents of our Polk County Public Schools' elementary school students with us virtually! Free to Be Me features the work of elementary students grades 3 through 5. As an acknowledgment of the critical role art education plays in the development of young learners, we honor the students for their hard work and achievement while also honoring their art teachers for their commitment to the youth of our county.
Five students will be recognized as Purchase Award recipients, with their entries becoming a part of the student collections for either the Polk Museum of Art, the School Board of Polk County, or the Kid’s Tag Art program by the Polk County Tax Collector’s Office.
This exhibition is on view in person in our George Jenkins Student Gallery from May 4 to June 9, 2024.
