15th Congressional District Art Competition

2018 marks the thirty-seventh year that members of the U.S. House of Representatives have recognized the creative spirit of American high school students (grades 9-12) with a national art competition. The Polk Museum of Art conducts the competition and mounts the exhibition for the 15th Congressional District including parts of Polk, Lake, and Hillsborough counties.

The Congressional Award from this competition, chosen by 15th Congressional District Representative Dennis Ross, travels to Washington, D.C. to be displayed in the year-long nationwide exhibition in the U.S. Capitol. This national competition is sponsored by the Congressional Arts Caucus and the office of Congressional District Representative, Dennis Ross. The 15th Congressional District competition is a cooperative planning effort between Representative Ross’ office, 15th District Public Schools and the Polk Museum of Art.
