Sam's Biscuits
/Ingredients:
2 cups flour
2 rounded teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
3 rounded tablespoons shortening
1 package yeast
⅓ cup lukewarm water
1 cup buttermilk
Instructions:
Sift together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
Work shortening into dry ingredients.
Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water.
Add yeast and buttermilk to flour mixture. Knead for 5 minutes.
Refrigerate 3 or 4 days.
Bake at 450 about 10 minutes. Serves 12.
