This is a course designed for serious artists who wish to enhance their understanding of the human body to create more realistic and believable human figures in their art. Throughout this course, students will explore anatomy by sculpting a detailed model of the human body, piece by piece, for the purpose of building a three-dimensional map of the human body in the mind. This class is useful for those interested in the figurative arts, as well as those who are interested in experiencing art practices of the 18th and 19th century. Each student will build their own écorché model to keep and reuse.

(Please Note: This class involves in-depth analysis of unclothed human bodies (male and female). As such, students under 18 require written parental consent to participate).

Greg Mannheimer was born and raised in Tallahassee, FL and is a proud Lakeland resident. Greg is an award winning artist who has taught at various institutions of visual art for over the last decade and was previously an oil painting specialist for Utrecht. He also has a great interest and experience in the interior design world, which is often highlighted through related knowledge he casually drops throughout his classes.
