Our art classes and art workshops provide students with the opportunity to associate with others with related interests and to learn new skills in a relaxed atmosphere.

Whether you’re a beginner or a long-time artist, we base our course offerings on the underlying belief that individuals want to be life-long learners. All Museum instructors are certified art teachers and/or art professionals.

Art classes are offered Monday and Tuesday nights during Fall and Spring sessions, and on Saturday mornings during the Summer.

SCHOLARSHIPS

The Polk Museum of Art is pleased to announce that it has received a grant from the Bank of America Foundation to help fund its Building Vibrant Communities Through Teen Art Class Scholarships program. This program enables a select number of Polk County students ages 15-18 from low- to moderate-income level families the opportunity to each take a six-week tuition-free art class of their choice at the Museum and obtain required art supplies at no charge (unless otherwise noted in application).

Fall application deadline: November 15, 2019

REFUNDS

If a class or workshop is canceled due to low enrollment, a full refund will be available. If a class or workshop is not canceled and refund is requested, a reimbursement will be made in full up to seven days prior to the class or workshop starting date. No reimbursement will be made after the seven-day period.
