Figure Drawing (Daytime)

Wednesdays (six-weeks) | Noon to 3pm

Dates: Jan 29 | Feb 5 | Feb 12 | Feb 19 | Feb 26 | Mar 5
Skill Level: Intermediate
Instructor: Greg Mannheimer, Professional Fine Arts Painter

Fee: $185 Members, $235 Non-Members

This class will teach the fundamental techniques used in drawing the human form through direct observation of a live nude model. The instructor will lead the students in completing their own figure drawings, while covering the elements of art and overall composition. Through the study of a live model, students will learn anatomical correctness and how to use geometric analysis to complete their drawings. Various drawing materials from graphite to Aux Quatre Crayons will be used during the class to help build an understanding of academic drawing techniques. This is an excellent foundations class to take before any painting course, but is also helpful for intermediate-level artists wishing to hone their skill.

(Please Note: Students under the age of 18 must have written parental consent to participate).

Greg Mannheimer was born and raised in Tallahassee, FL and is a proud Lakeland resident. Greg is an award winning artist who has taught at various institutions of visual art for over the last decade and was previously an oil painting specialist for Utrecht. He also has a great interest and experience in the interior design world, which is often highlighted through related knowledge he casually drops throughout his classes.
